Ho Chi Minh Trail, Hoi An, Prao

Hoi An – Prao – Ho Chi Minh Trail to Hue (2 days)

This tour leaves from Hoi An to join the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail going North towards the celebrated Imperial City of Hue. Along the Q14, you will cross the Vietnamese jungle, the picturesque villages of the Ethnic Minorities, and travel through remote areas to discover the secrets of the Vietnamese Central Highlands

Day 1: Hoi An to Prao

Countryside Riding

Option1:

Get away from Hoi an for a night and discover completely different side of Viet Nam the countryside, with fresh Air ,and beautiful sceneries , the first stop see the Bằng An Champa Tower , and former US and French Base from the independence today we ride up to the Mountains Travel along quiet roads enjoy, breath taking site , you can take a walk and take picture of the waterfall ( can swimming ) Continue ride up th Hill ,towards the Lao border, Home of the Cotu Minority ,people living ,you can visit, one of the few remaining ,brocade weaving and rattan ,and traditional Guol Architecture of Cotu people, untouched by time making this remote and staggeringly beautiful, region to one the most Authentic Viet Nam

Option 2: Hoi An to Prao via marble mountain & Hai Van Pass waterfall

We riding to the coast to Marble Mountain and Hai van Pass and coast, first stop you visit marble mountains then ride to the My Khe Beach ( During the war American soldiers R& R ) TVS.

Stop at fishing village though the coast navigate then we can will start ride up the Legendary Hai van Pass, remember to keep your eyes on the road as you experience some of the most breathtaking view in Viet Nam, we stop for drink and explore the old lockout turrets used by both the French and American in the war time

This pass is 500 meters high and its name translates as “Pass of the Ocean Clouds”. The pass is part of the Annamite Mountain Range and is considered one of the most beautiful in the country.
Recently year the Top Gear BBC praise al most beautiful around the world.

We down to the pass for lunch then we go to waterfall. (For swimming). We riding to Prao via countryside to Prao stop some minority village.

We stay in Prao for a night in the hotel or homestay, free time in the evening.

Day 2: Prao to Hue Riding Ho Chi Minh trail

Today our jouney through Highlands of central Viet Nam this time we follow new section of the Ho Chi minh Trail toward the Lao border crossing through lush Rainforest an over Mountain Pass on roads, ferfectly take picture , mountain pass and winding along roads fringed by rainforest amid this turning remote mountains scenery ,live the ethnic ,Hill tribes of the Co Tu people we stop for Lunch at local restaurant then descend down the to Hue , you will enjoy the fantastic ,mountains view , along the roads the rolling hill crystal – clear ,stream running in between magnific, Hill side ride to Hue for the end

OPTIONS: 2 days Hue-DMZ-Phong Nha Caves - Price: 150$

Departing from Hue we ride along highway 1 to Quang Tri town, visiting Long Hung Church and Quang Tri Old Citadel which was a battlefield in 1972 between North and South Vietnam for 81 days and nights.

Then, we will ride along the coast from Cua Viet Beach to Cua Tung Beach a long stretch of beautiful and peaceful coastline. Next we visit the Vinh Moc tunnels and explore the Demilitarised Zone, stopping for lunch at the Doc Mieu Firebase.

In the afternoon we will have short stop at Truong Son cemetary to pay respects to the soldiers who fought and died on the trail during the American War. Continuing west on highway 9, we will climb into the Truong Son foothills, pass the Rock Pile and stop at some villages and beautiful natural springs and waterfalls near the highway.

Approx 5pm we arrive in Khe Sanh which was established as a forward base by General Westmoreland near Laos to secure highway 9. Check in to hotel, free time at night.

After breakfast visit the Khe Sanh combat base, then we ride the west Ho Chi Minh trail, today you have the chance to see the real trail with its mind-blowing, spectacular scenery - lots of jungle, mountains, waterfalls and villages of the Paco and Van Kieu Minorities.

We will ride through the Sa Mu pass, se pang heng river, Lang Ho village, U bo pass, areas made famous in the American war.

Tonight we stay in Son Trach village near the entrance to the Phong Na-Ke Bang National Park
