From Hoi An to Quang Ngai - Central Highlands tour : 4 Days

This three-day tour will take you along the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail to discover the remote villages of the region’s Ethnic Minoriities.

Your trip will take you South, passing by Kham Duc, Kon Tum, and to your final destination of Mike Beach, close to Quang Ngai City, a city surrounded by breathtaking mountainous landscapes.

Day 1

Hoi An to Kham Duc (gold town) (Ho Chi Minh Trail)

Traveling through Vietnamese countryside, we will first see many rice paddies and other agriculture activitives. You will be able to cool off in a rainforest stream, and then continuing on, to explore Vietnam’s pineapple plantations, where sampling the fruit will be encouraged.

You will begin to ride on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, the major supply link for Vietnamese soldiers during the American war. You will have your first opportunity to talk the Vietnamese hill-tribe people. You will sleep in a simple hotel.

Day 2

Kham Duc to Kon Tum (on the Ho Chi Minh Trail)

Travel through the Lo Xo mountain pass through a tropical rain forest; enjoy the best cup of coffee grown and brewed in Vietnam, and visit the hill-tribe people of Ka Tu. Immerse yourself in the rich economic agricultural center of Vietnam. Roam working coffee and rubber tree plantations.

Visit former battle fields of the recent war in Dak To and Tan Canh. Tour KonTum town, visiting the old wooden Catholic Church, viewing the unique French Architecture. Cross the 290 m suspension bridge to visit the KonKtu village of the Bahnar people. End your day viewing a beautiful sunset while swinging on the suspension bridge. You will sleep in a simple hotel.

Day 3

Kon Tum to Quang Ngai

En route to Quang Ngai, we will travel through highway 24, going through villages of minority tribes and rain forests, beautiful remote villages untouched by modern technology. Through the Violac mountain pass between the central highlands and lowlands, you will see spectacular views of the mountain landscapes. We then leave highway 24 to take the country side roads to Quang Ngai, to see the cultivation and rice paddies of the mountain base, to get a glimpse of the real life of Vietnam, until we end in Quang Ngai.

Day 4

Quang Ngai to Hoi An

(This tour one way - If you want to go from Quang Ngai to Hoi An in one day by the coast. We visit My Lai massace and Mural village and Tam Thanh beach fishing village)

No "off road" riding.
Longer tours can be arranged. Fees, places and activities can be discussed.
Each Tour finishes at the indicated town. There is an additional charge to return the customer to Hoi An.

Thien An Mountain
